"Scamper" started at Purdue as an independent study to do a completely solo, start-to-finish animated short film to learn the 3d animation concepts lacking in my coursework. There's really no way to learn like attacking a project with an end goal in mind and figuring it out as you go, and I learned a ton from this challenge.

Cutting no corners, the project entails full preproduction, characters with simulated hair and clothing, a fully detailed environment, etc., so needless to say, the project wasn’t completed in one semester. I continued to work on it over the next couple of years as time allowed, completing the two main characters, rigged and with hair, along with a slew of preproduction. I eventually retired the project before it became a realized short film.
